High potential and gifted education

Some students learn more quickly or show advanced abilities in thinking, creativity, leadership or sport. At Chullora Public School, we recognise that high potential and gifted students are a diverse group and may be identified across the intellectual, creative, social-emotional and physical domains.

We identify potential early and deliberately nurture talent through explicit teaching, high expectations, differentiation and evidence-based practices. Our approach supports students to translate potential into achievement while maintaining strong wellbeing and inclusion.

Why choose us for your high potential or gifted child?

Recognising potential and developing talent

Our teachers use ongoing assessment and professional judgement to identify high potential and gifted students and support their growth through structured talent development pathways.

Tailored lessons

Learning is differentiated to provide the right level of challenge, using extension, enrichment and flexible ability grouping so students remain engaged and motivated.

Rich opportunities and activities

Students access a wide range of opportunities across all four domains, including debating, public speaking, creative arts, leadership and sport.

Opening doors to wider experiences

Students are supported to participate in school, district and state-wide programs and competitions that extend and enrich learning.
